Northern Sydney Central Coast Health (NSCCH)
- Northern Sydney Central Coast Health’s (NSCCH) vision is Healthy People Now and in the Future.
- The Health Promotion service within NSCCH provides leadership in this area by using a range of population wide strategies to change personal, organisational and social behaviour to prevent ill health before it occurs.
- One of the key Health Promotion priorities set by NSW Health is the prevention of obesity in the population. To achieve this, NSCCH Health Promotion engages in strategies to increase physical activity and healthy eating in a number of settings including schools, workplaces, the built environment and community sports. In partnership with Youthsafe, the development of SafeClub is one such strategy that has proven to be very promising in promoting participation in sport and physical activity by improving the safety practices of community sporting clubs.
