What is SafeClub? PDF Print E-mail

SafeClub is a sports safety training program designed specifically for community sports clubs. SafeClub helps clubs create a safer sporting environment to reduce the risk of injuries.

Sports Injury

Developed jointly by Youthsafe and Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service, SafeClub uses a simple, flexible and user-friendly approach to support clubs with implementing risk management techniques. It teaches clubs how to identify, assess and manage their specific safety issues. By the end of the program, participants will have identified their specific safety issues, developed a club-specific sports safety manual and received advice and support from trained professionals.

It is supported by Sport and Recreation, Communities NSW.

SafeClub was recognized as the ‘Best Risk Education and Training Program’ at the 2006 Australian Risk Management Awards and also won a gold award at the NSW Sports Safety Awards in 2006.
